✅ POE synthetic oils used with HFC or HFC+HFO refrigerants are very hygroscopic as they are composed of a combination of ester acid and alcohol.

✅ If the moisture content is above 75 ppm, the mixture of oil and water generates acid and alcohol, in a reversible process.

✅ At the same time, the presence of moisture in the system also generates acid.

✅ To prevent acids from forming, chemical products are used: Molecular sieves to capture moisture in 3Å channels.

✅ The channels can only capture water molecules, which are smaller than refrigerant molecules.

✅ Molecular sieves make it possible to keep a very small amount of moisture in the system.

✅ The efficiency of the molecular sieve is higher than that of activated alumina, approximately 3 times higher.

✅ Activated alumina is used to capture acid from the oil, and moisture less effectively than the molecular sieve.

✅ TDML series ceramic filters are made of 100% 3Å molecular sieve, which is the desiccant material with the highest moisture adsorption capacity.

✅ Especially recommended for HFC (R-134a, R-404A, R-407C, R-407F, R-410A, R-442A, R-449A, R-453A...).

✅ The molecular sieve comes in the form of beads, which are kept fully compact by a strong spring; in this way, the absence of the binder used in compact filters allows a greater moisture retention capacity.
