Fast Charge Valve Value Low Pressure Quick Couplings For Charging Air Conditioning In Vehicles - Brand: Value - Gas: R134A And 1234Yf - Quick Coupling Low Pressure 1/4 Sae

✅ How to recharge the air conditioning in eight steps Filling the air conditioning circuit with gas so that it cools at full performance again is a quick operation, but somewhat complex.

✅ If you go to a workshop or a quick-repair centre, you'll have it done in just over 30 minutes and they will charge you between 30 and 40 euros.

✅ You can save this amount by doing it yourself; the only drawback is that you need a gas charging machine (you can rent one).

✅ Once you have it, these are the steps to follow to recharge the air conditioning: Locate the circuit inlets The inlet ports of the circuit pipes have a cap that you must unscrew.

✅ The wider pipe is the low-pressure one and the thin one is the high-pressure one.

✅ They are usually in plain sight, but if you can't find them, the advice is to check the car's manual.

✅ Some older models (such as the Mégane II) may have only one port for the refrigerant gas. 2.

✅ Connect the hoses to the circuit ports After plugging in the air conditioning charging machine, you will have to connect the hoses to the high ?and low-pressure ports of the circuit.

✅ The central gauge on the machine shows the operating pressure, which must be between 8 and 10 bar.

✅ All the valves (both the hoses and the machine's taps) must be closed just before connecting. 3.

✅ Open the circuit access valves Once the connection is secure, you have to open the hose valves (turn them clockwise).

✅ First one and then the other, never both at once.

✅ It is important to open the valves only until the pressure needles on the gauges rise slightly, so that the pipe's valve core is not damaged and refrigerant gas does not escape when disconnecting the hoses at the end of the task. 4.

✅ Self-cleaning, gas recovery and vacuum The machine's first work cycle is self-cleaning and recovery of the old gas.

✅ To do this, open the machine's high- and low-pressure valves and press the green button.

✅ When the self-cleaning finishes, open the green valve to recover the gas.

✅ On one side of the machine is the old oil tank: open the valve leading to it.

✅ Then a vacuum must be pulled.

✅ For this process the machine takes about 20 minutes.

✅ The machine takes about 20 minutes to carry out this operation. 5.

✅ Check the pressures The low- and high-pressure gauges must be stable at around -1 bar.

✅ If not, and the needle starts to rise slowly, there is a leak in the circuit (here is how to repair a leak in the air conditioning).

✅ If this happens, stop the operation: you must not start recharging the gas and the oil for the compressor. 6.

✅ Amount of oil and gas If the air conditioning circuit is airtight, you can start charging gas and oil.

✅ The recharge button is usually red and is normally below the evacuation one.

✅ To find out the amount of gas your car uses, look for a sticker on the engine that states it.

✅ Another alternative is to look up the model in the machine's database, which will give you the charge in kilograms. 7.

✅ Fill the charging tank Before injecting the recharge you have to open the tank valve.

✅ The oil and gas are charged simultaneously by pressing the fill button.

✅ When the injected amount (look at the screen) reaches the right level, press the 'Stop' button. 8.

✅ Close the valves and check that it works Close the high- and low-pressure HP and LP valves.

✅ Before packing away the equipment, check that the air conditioning works.

✅ Also close the hose valves and start the car.

✅ After charging the air conditioning, switch on the cooling system at maximum power, wait a few moments and check that cold air comes out.

✅ If the airflow is low, you should check the cabin filter.

✅ If the airflow is strong, you can disconnect the machine: your work is done.
